Here are a couple of Santa Clauses carved in cottonwood bark. This bark comes from western Minnesota. I guess the north wood trees and Santa go together.

Not all of Santa’s presents come in boxes. You better watch out, you may get a puppy for Christmas.

Here is another version of my ‘Pipe Smoking Santa’. I used my old pattern but decided to show the lags and boots. This is one of my first attempts to carve boots like those shown in the CocaCola Santas.

Santas may come in all shapes and sizes, but they also come in all colors. You can see this by visiting vintage Christmas card sites that show Santas of different colors and styles.

Here’s an interesting ornament that Lynne created. A family of five snowmen decided to have fun by sliding down the hill on their toboggan. I wonder what would happen if they crash. I guess they would end up as a big pile of show.

Here, Santa had just put his pack down to survey the house in front of him. He is wondering if he will be able to slide down the small chimney to deliver the presents. I’m sure he’ll make it.

As bundled up for Christmas shopping. This is an old carving that got re-painted. I think she looks better in Christmas red.

Here is Santa in his night time delivery. The back pack is carved separate and attached. The lantern is attached with a copper wire.

Sorry that I had gotten a little behind, Thanksgiving Holiday and all. Speaking of which, another holiday has passed on by in a hurry. Maybe he’s off to do some shopping before the next character will pass on by. Santa Claus is trailing not far behind Mr. Pilgrim.
